LAGC partners with 7-Eleven to celebrate the fusion of Japanese street culture, Los Angeles style, and golf.

Two years ago, Alexis Ohanian tweeted about a potential collaboration between LAGC and 7-Eleven — it was just a spark, but Ohanian recognized that these two brands liked to do things differently.

Fast forward to today: that spark has become something bigger.

7-Eleven just launched their newest golf-inspired collection, Midnight Driving Club — a celebration of Japanese street culture, LA style, and the all-too-frequent late-night outing. The release ties to the return of one of Japan’s most beloved snacks, the 7-Eleven egg salad sandwich, now arriving in U.S. stores.

The golf world is crowded, and 7-Eleven knew they needed an entry that felt authentic — something rooted in their heritage and culture. So they looked to the intersection of Japanese street fashion, car culture, and golf, and brought in LAGC to help bring that vision to life. With our community-first mindset and creative approach to shaping the future of the sport, the partnership felt like a natural fit.

Guiding the collection’s creative heartbeat was Alex Crawford, whose vision brought meaning to every piece. From patterned polos and knitted designs to a technical polo featuring the topography of a real Japanese golf course, her work captures the balance between heritage and innovation that defines Midnight Driving Club.

The Shoot — Bridging the Gap

We partnered with photographer Kohjiro Kinno, one of the most respected names in golf photography, known for capturing Tiger Woods’ 2019 Masters win and other iconic moments.

Kinno, a Japanese-American and LA native, was the perfect bridge between the worlds we were connecting.

The shoot took place at Aroma Golf Range, one of LA’s most iconic indoor ranges. The concept leaned into the “Neo-Tokyo” look — dark tones, high contrast, urban, gritty. Our LAGC Ambassadors stepped in as models, embodying that mix of sport, style, and culture.

For the second half of the shoot, we moved to a 7-Eleven location and featured a classic JDM car: a white Honda NSX courtesy of local car collector and Los Angeles local, Gregory Park.

The Event

To celebrate the collection, we co-hosted a launch event at Even House, a new membership club and golf facility in Orange County.

The theme remained: Japanese street fashion meets LA Community and culture.

Outside, guests arrived to a lineup of nearly a dozen JDM cars, turning the venue into a mini car show, another ode to Japanese street culture. Inside, the atmosphere matched.

Japanese-inspired food and drinks set the tone — LA chef Luke Reyes put together a menu that reflected the Japanese American collaboration perfectly: Japanese street food including pork gyoza, chicken karaage, and wagyu skewers in tandem with smash burgers and fries from his local favorite, Ritas Deluxe.

On top of the main menu, a local 7-Eleven provided their very own branded snacks and drinks, and the 7-Eleven egg sandwiches were gone in 30 minutes, proving they’re not just popular overseas.

Music came from Musubi, a Japanese-American artist who kept 300 guests buzzing all evening.

We put the Baycurrent Classic up on the big screen, where LAGC players Sahith Theegala and Collin Morikawa were competing in Japan. Watching them play overseas while celebrating Japanese culture in LA gave the night a full-circle feel.

The Takeaway

This collaboration was a bridge between two cultures and two brands who are always innovating.

Together with 7-Eleven, we built something that celebrated creativity, community, and culture — from the streets to the greens.
