About Jackson
Jackson Koivun is one of golf’s exciting young stars, bringing a winning mindset and plenty of confidence to the PGA Tour. Born in San Jose, California, Koivun got his start playing on a nine-hole par-3 course before developing his game at Cinnabar Hills Golf Club.
At Auburn University, he quickly became a college golf powerhouse. Koivun helped the Tigers win two NCAA team championships, captured three straight SEC individual titles, and finished his college career with a school-record 11 victories. He also became the first player to win the Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus and Fred Haskins Awards twice.
Koivun turned professional in 2026, and it didn’t take long to make his mark. Just three starts into his professional career, the 21-year-old won the 3M Open by three strokes, shooting a tournament-record 25-under 259.
He then announced himself on the international stage at the 2026 Presidents Cup, going 2-0-1 in his debut and helping Team USA complete its comeback victory at Medinah.
