Tommy grew up in Southport, England, a coastal town in Merseyside, a few miles north of Liverpool. Southport is also a popular golfing destination and the home of Royal Birkdale, and as a child Tommy would sneak onto the course with his father.

Those early days sparked his passion for golf and Tommy enjoyed a glittering amateur career before turning pro in 2010.

Plenty of success followed on the DP World Tour (formerly European Tour), including being named the 2017 Race to Dubai winner and European Tour Players’ Player of the Year.

And his story came full circle when Tommy made his first cut in an Open Championship at Royal Birkdale in 2017.
