Justin Rose takes the third spot on the team as he joins Collin Morikawa and Sahith Theegala on the LAGC squad.
Los Angeles Golf Club (LAGC) welcomes 11-time PGA TOUR winner Justin Rose to their four-man roster for the inaugural season of TGL presented by SoFi.
"I am excited to become a part of Los Angeles Golf Club. From the very beginning, I was drawn to the Club's commitment to their fans and their impact focus in the Los Angeles community. We are mission and vision aligned and I'm thrilled to be joining LAGC," said Rose on the opportunity to represent Los Angeles in the inaugural season of TGL in 2025.
The England native turned professional in 1998 and has since amassed 12 international titles, 11 PGA TOUR titles, and one Olympic gold medal. He became golf’s first Olympic gold medalist in more than 100 years when he won the gold medal at the 2016 Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro, where he also recorded the first hole-in-one in Olympic golf. In 2018, he reached No. 1 in the World Golf Rankings for the first time.
Rose is no stranger to team events; he’s competed in the Ryder Cup for Team Europe six times since 2008, including four winning teams (2012, 2014, 2018, 2023). He’s also been on three World Cup teams and two Seve Trophy teams.
A true leader in growing the game, Rose and his wife Kate created the Rose Ladies Open in 2022 to support the growth of the women’s game. The event will be hosted for the third time in 2024 at Brocket Hall to continue to provide additional playing opportunities as part of the LET Access Series.
Los Angeles Golf Club President, Neal Hubman, expressed enthusiasm about the announcement, stating, "We are beyond delighted to welcome Justin Rose to the Los Angeles Golf Club family. Justin's outstanding achievements and dedication to the sport perfectly align with our club's values. His presence will undoubtedly inspire our fans, elevate the competitive spirit, and contribute to the rich legacy of our local community."
With three of the four players accounted for, LAGC will make their final roster spot announcement in the coming weeks.
To confirm the four players on each team roster, TGL worked with TGL teams, players, and player management with the goal that a player’s TGL Schedule will be largely complementary to his PGA TOUR competitive schedule. Additionally, considerations were made for the ESPN broadcast schedule, league and team competitive balance and, in certain cases, elements of what made each team, ownership group, and city/region unique.
