Every Match of New Professional Team Golf League to Air Live on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+

Toronto, Ontario, and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida (Oct. 15, 2024): Sportsnet and TGL presented by SoFi, the new tech-infused, team golf league founded by Tiger Woods’ and Rory McIlroy’s TMRW Sports, today announced a new media partnership that will see every match of the league’s inaugural season air live on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ throughout Canada. The new league launches on Tuesday, Jan. 7, in prime time, featuring six teams of PGA TOUR stars competing in a season-long competition from January through March, all set in the custom-built SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

“TGL presented by SoFi is a groundbreaking new league featuring the world’s top golfers, with backing from some of the biggest names in professional sports,” said Greg Sansone, President of Sportsnet. “Combining the biggest names in golf with a unique format in prime time make this an outstanding broadcast property, and we can’t wait to share it with sports fans across Canada.”

Sportsnet – Canada’s No. 1 sports media network – is part of Rogers Sports & Media, which connects with more than 30 million Canadians each month through premier broadcast, content, and streaming properties, including Citytv, Breakfast Television, and more than 50 radio stations.

“Golf is truly a global game, and as we near the launch of TGL presented by SoFi, we’re focused on expanding TGL's footprint,” said Mike McCarley, CEO and Founder, TMRW Sports and TGL. “Sportsnet and Rogers Sports & Media will tap into the passionate golf community in Canada and use the power of its properties and platforms to reach Canadian sports fans to introduce them to TGL’s modern approach to team golf.”

Previously TGL announced ESPN as the league’s U.S. media partner, as well as international media partnerships with Fox Sports in Australia, U-NEXT in Japan, and JTBC/Phoenix Sports International in South Korea. Additional international media partners will be added in the coming months.
