Los Angeles Golf Club: Everything You Need to Know Ahead of Season 2
December 09, 2025

There’s no shortage of California Love whenever Los Angeles Golf Club makes an entrance at SoFi Center.

Los Angeles earned its status as a top dog in TGL presented by SoFi throughout Season 1, going into the postseason as the No. 1 overall seed. Now LAGC returns with a full roster and big expectations before the action gets underway in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Season 2 begins at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, Dec. 28, when New York Golf Club takes on defending champion Atlanta Drive GC. The rematch from last year’s Finals Series airs live on ABC.

LAGC will certainly be paying attention, as they look to improve on an excellent debut season and take things one step further in 2026.

LOS ANGELES GOLF CLUB SCHEDULE

Los Angeles officially tees off with a primetime matchup against Boston Common Golf at 7 p.m. ET, Jan. 2 at SoFi Center. LAGC’s opener will air live on ESPN2 as TGL rings in the New Year with the first match of 2026.

And while these teams were on opposite ends of the SoFi Cup Standings last season, the slate has been wiped clean and there’s no telling how things will shake out in Season 2.

There will be time to rest and regroup ahead of a 7 p.m. ET Jan. 20 showdown against Jupiter Links Golf Club, airing on ESPN. That will bring back fond memories for Los Angeles, which opened Season 1 with some style points in a 12-1 blowout win over Jupiter for its SoFi Center debut.

Los Angeles is back in action at 7 p.m. ET Feb. 9 against The Bay Golf Club, followed by a big-time matchup on the back end of a Feb. 23 doubleheader. LAGC takes on Atlanta Drive GC at 9 p.m. ET, with Atlanta going back-to-back after a 5 p.m. ET tilt against Boston.

Finally, LAGC gets a chance to avenge its only regulation loss from last year at 7 p.m. March 2, with its 2026 regular-season finale matchup against New York Golf Club on ESPN2.

LOS ANGELES GOLF CLUB ROSTER

Tommy Fleetwood, Collin Morikawa, Justin Rose and Sahith Theegala are all back in the fold for Season 2. Said foursome set a high bar in Season 1 as one of the most exciting, impressive teams in TGL, and expectations are even higher entering 2026.

Fleetwood will be brimming with confidence after picking up that elusive first PGA TOUR win with a victory at the TOUR Championship at East Lake. It came after a series of close calls, with eight top-10 finishes on the season – including a T-3 at the St. Jude Championship and a T-4 at the BMW Championship.

At SoFi Center, he lived up to his “Fairway Jesus” nickname finishing fifth in TGL in driving accuracy throughout the regular season.

Morikawa wasn’t far off in terms of driving accuracy, finishing T-8 and hitting fairways at a 75% clip. The two-time major champion went unbeaten in Singles play during the regular season and also played a large strategic role in Los Angeles finishing with a +6 Hammer points differential – second in TGL during the regular season behind only champs Atlanta.

Rose, the crafty veteran, narrowly lost out on a green jacket when he fell to Rory McIlroy in a sudden-death playoff at the Masters. Rose finished the year on a high note with a playoff victory in Memphis and scored two key points for Team Europe in a Ryder Cup victory over the U.S. Team in September.

Rose was also a workhorse throughout Season 1, finishing T-4 in total points won (18) and T-4 in Triples holes won (13) in the regular season.

As for Singles, few did it better than Theegala in 2025 – the 27-year-old finished with six Singles holes won, including a 2-0 record in the postseason.

All told, Los Angeles is as complete a team you’ll find with varying strengths across the board.

SEASON 1 RECAP

LAGC didn’t take long to put the league on notice with a 12-1 victory over Jupiter in its TGL debut.

Los Angeles kept the momentum going with a 6-2 win over Boston, earning a point on each of the first three holes and carrying a 5-0 lead after the Triples session. Two weeks later, LAGC suffered its lone loss of the regular season in a 6-5 defeat to Atlanta that required Overtime to settle.

It was a painful reminder of how quickly TGL matches can flip in this format – Los Angeles led 5-2 with just three holes to play before Atlanta took the momentum with two points at the 13th and another at the 15th to send it to closest-to-the-pin to determine a winner. Fleetwood became the first TGL player to put it in the hole, sending a charge through SoFi Center, before Atlanta eventually prevailed in the best two-of-three Overtime format.

Los Angeles concluded the regular season with a pair of nail-biting wins, prevailing 5-4 over New York and 5-3 over The Bay, with Tony Finau making an appearance and helping LAGC knock off New York while filling in on a one-match contract.

A Semifinals rematch against a red-hot New York squad swung the other way down the stretch, with NYGC winning three of the first four Singles holes in an eventual 6-4 upset to oust the No. 1 overall seed.
