Max Homa has been steadily ascending in the Official Golf World Ranking for several years.
Through his dynamic personality, quick wit, and elite social media game, he’s always been one of the most fun players on TOUR. And now, with six PGA TOUR titles to his name including four in the past two years, he’s established himself as a threat to win every week of the season.
His addition to the TGL roster for the inaugural season is a huge coup for the league and TGL CEO Mike McCarley is delighted to have Homa on board.
“Max is a world-class player who also has an engaging and dynamic personality. Max, and his passionate and charismatic approach to the game, will be a great addition to the roster of PGA TOUR stars joining TGL. I believe he will flourish in the TGL environment, which will feature unprecedented audio access from inside our tech-infused venue,” said McCarley.
A California native who currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona, Homa played collegiate golf at the University of California, Berkeley and represented the U.S on the 2013 Walker Cup team and 2022 Presidents Cup team.
“I believe there is an opportunity to push the envelope for golf fans’ viewing experience,” said Homa. “TGL is another example of how we can appeal to younger sports fans and TGL’s progressive approach with its use of technology will further elevate how sports fans engage with golf. I love the concept of TGL helping to broaden the appeal of the game we love to a wider spectrum of sports fans. From the first time I heard about it, I knew it was for me.”
The 32-year-old has been playing some of the best golf of his career in 2022-23, with two PGA TOUR wins and eight Top 10 finishes on the season so far. That’s put him right in the mix in the FedExCup standings and an excellent bet to do some damage should he make his Ryder Cup debut for the U.S later this year in Italy.
