A thrilling Presidents Day tripleheader set a high bar for the second half of the season in TGL presented by SoFi.
Now it’s time for another Tuesday tilt as red-hot The Bay Golf Club faces Jupiter Links Golf Club at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
The match goes off at 9 p.m. ET and airs on ESPN, with streaming available on ESPN+.
BAY vs. JUP: How To Watch TGL In Your Country
The Bay Dominates, Jupiter Seeks Redemption
The Bay had been off for more than a month and looked like a serious contender throughout back-to-back wins against Atlanta Drive and Boston Common Golf last week. Wyndham Clark’s eagle to win the second match at the 15th hole sent The Bay to 3-0 on the season and put them in first place outright in the SoFi Cup Standings.
It was even more impressive considering 25-year-old Ludvig Åberg played both matches less than 24 hours after winning the Genesis Invitational on the other side of the country, and he gets a much-needed week off with Clark, Shane Lowry and Min Woo Lee representing on Tuesday night.
Jupiter had a rough go to say the least in its last matchup with New York Golf Club, falling behind 8-0 through eight holes in an eventual 10-3 loss. It pushed Jupiter to the wrong end of the standings with the team now in fifth at two points on the year, though it’s close – New York also has two points but holds the tiebreaker with 11 total holes won on the year compared to six for Jupiter.
There was no shortage of love and fan support for Jupiter in the arena last week, and they’ll look to rally in a critical match with Tom Kim, Kevin Kisner and Max Homa in the lineup.
Jupiter also fought hard to the end and still had a chance through 10 holes thanks to the new Hammer rules, which went into effect last week for the Tripleheader matches – all of which came down to the final hole.
Each team now starts the match with three Hammers to be thrown at any time. The opposing team can still decline and forfeit the hole, but it must be accepted if thrown before the players tee off on a given hole.
It’s coming up on crunch time at SoFi Center and the stakes only get higher from here.
