JUP vs. LA: How To Watch TGL In Your Country
Opening Loss for Jupiter
Woods oversaw a strong start for Jupiter in its season-opener against New York Golf Club, with JLGC earning a 3-1 lead through four holes. A few untimely miscues, including the second-ever shot clock violation in TGL history, opened the door for a New York team that embarked on a 7-0 run to win the match 8-3.
Jupiter has now lost four consecutive matches dating back to Season 1. There’s still plenty of golf left and Jupiter showed its potential at times throughout the loss to New York. But Woods & crew need a win Tuesday however they can get it.
Los Angeles is also off to an 0-1-0 start after a back-and-forth clash with Boston Common Golf their first time out. Los Angeles led 3-2 through seven holes but couldn’t hang on, getting outscored 3-1 in Singles for a 7-5 loss.
Top 4 Make the Playoffs
This is uncharted territory for a Los Angeles team that didn’t lose a single match in regulation throughout the 2025 regular season, finishing as the No. 1 seed among the four teams to make the playoffs.
As a result, LAGC was a popular pick to win it all in Season 2 but ran into a bit of a buzzsaw in the first match, during which Boston alternate Michael Thorbjornsen made four putts from outside 10 feet and closed them out with an eagle at No. 15.
New York made it all the way to the Finals in Season 1 after starting 0-2-0, so whichever team falls short Tuesday can hang on to a glimmer of hope.
But they’ll have a lot of ground to make up in short order, while the winner puts themselves right back in the postseason hunt and gains some much-needed momentum looking ahead to the second half of Season 2.
