It’s been nearly eight years since the repeal of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) that resulted in each state being able to choose whether to legalize sports wagering within their borders. Today, a large majority of states offer some form of legal sports betting, whether that’s online or in-person retail betting only.

State-specific Age Restrictions

Age restrictions for sports betting vary by state, but in the large majority of locations above you must be at least 21 years old to bet. The exceptions from the list are Kentucky, New Hampshire and Wyoming, which legally allow sports betting for individuals 18+ years old.

It is worth noting though that some operators maintain 21+ age restrictions in all states where they are active, despite 18+ being legally allowed in a handful of them.

No matter your location or age, it is critically important to only wager using legal, regulated sports betting platforms. The availability of specific sportsbooks varies by state, but FanDuel and many of the other top operators in the United States offer a variety of TGL betting markets in the locations above.

If you’re interested in placing a bet on TGL, be sure to first check which legal sportsbooks are available in your specific state. Responsible Gaming tools, such as limit setting options, are available on all regulated sportsbooks and should be used by all bettors to help ensure that sports betting remains a form of casual entertainment.
