PLAYING ORDER
Here’s the order in which players will tee off for their teams:

3 THINGS TO KNOW
Putt for Dough: A quick glance at the stats reveals a Jupiter team that was dialed in from tee-to-green in a season-opening loss to New York. Jupiter hit 90% of fairways and 86.7% greens in regulations – both tops in the league. The problem was they didn’t make any putts outside of 10 feet and were only 33% from inside 10 feet. Putting is contagious in team golf. Sometimes all it takes is one player stepping up for a big make early in the match to completely flip the script, which would do wonders for Jupiter’s season outlook.
Hammer Away: Hammer strategy can make or break a match, something Jupiter and Los Angeles were reminded of in their season openers. With the match tied 3-3 through seven holes, Jupiter lost four points via the Hammer the rest of the way in an eventual 8-3 loss to New York. Los Angeles finished with a –3 Hammer points differential in its first match against Boston, including a crucial two-point swing on a 10-foot birdie make from Rory McIlroy at the eighth. Cleaning things up and making good decisions will be key for both teams.
Run it Back: These teams last met more than a year ago, with Los Angeles cruising to a 12-1 victory – the most lopsided match in league history. Five of the six players from that match are in the lineup Tuesday, with Bhatia filling in. Los Angeles has been one of the top Triples teams in TGL and raced off to a 5-0 start through four holes, so getting off to a fast start should be priority No. 1 for a Jupiter team looking to settle the score.
SINGLES MATCHUPS
Max Homa vs. Justin Rose: Singles begins at the par-5 Sterling, where both players should be in good position off the tee given the way they swung the driver in their first outings. Homa averaged 336.4 yards while Rose checked in at 323.9 yards. That also bodes well for No. 13, Bluebonnet, a drivable par 4.
Akshay Bhatia vs. Collin Morikawa: Bhatia, the first lefty in TGL, got settled in during his debut last week while Moirkawa was one of the top scorers from Season 1. They’ll try their hand at Stinger, a par 4 that demands an extremely low tee shot and continues to give players trouble. They finish at No. 14, On the Rocks, a short par 3 that could see pressure-packed wedge shots in a close match.
Kevin Kisner vs. Sahith Theegala: Kisner held his own last week despite a massive distance disparity, tying both Singles holes with Cameron Young. They begin at Cenote, which Kisner hasn’t seen in Singles. Theegala made par here in the first match. Then it’s on to the par-5 15th, Stone & Steeple, where both players need to keep it in play off the tee and avoid the penalty area to the left of the stone wall that runs along the entire fairway.
THE COURSE
Players begin at the par-4 The Claw, which features a split fairway and an island green. The risk-reward par-5 Loot on the Line is next ahead of a brand new hole – The Last Toll – a lengthy par-3 set in an apocalyptic backdrop.
Jupiter’s Team Hole, The Jup Life, plays as the fourth – JLGC won this hole with birdie last week and no team has lost on their Team Hole so far this season.
Kisner and Theegala get to show off with driver at the sixth, Alpine, a par-4 that lends itself to massive rollout on tee shots placed in the speed slot.

Triples concludes at No. 9, Showtime, the par-5 Los Angeles Team Hole. LAGC picked up a point in Triples here with par in their first match.
No. 11, Stinger, claimed another victim last week when Homa sent a 4-iron directly into the overhanging rock. Bhatia will give it a go for Jupiter this time around.
No. 13, Bluebonnet, could make for some serious drama with the drivable par-4 placed on the back end of the rotation.
Players conclude at No. 15, Stone & Steeple, where Theegala can redeem himself after hitting his approach into the penalty area the first time he saw the hole this season.
HOLE SPOTLIGHT
No. 3, The Last Toll, 205 yards
This is a brand new Gil Hanse design that, like many of the new additions for Season 2, embraces an unorthodox approach that wouldn’t be possible anywhere outside SoFi Center.
Players will be facing an apocalyptic scene off the tee, with broken down toll bridge towers that block the green and leave three options – a high fade over the road, a draw around the towers or a low shot underneath the bridge.
Kisner and Theegala have the tee shots here and will need to be on point from a strategy and execution standpoint if they hope to conquer the out-of-this-world par-3.
