Relive the biggest moments, standout performances, and defining storylines from the 2026 season...
Los Angeles Golf Club’s Finals victory over Jupiter Links Golf Club served as a fitting conclusion to the 2026 season of TGL presented by SoFi, with wild momentum swings and plenty of memorable moments at SoFi Center on the campus of Palm Beach State College.
It also marked a new top dog in TGL in a year that included two hole-in-ones, a host of back-and-forth matches, and no shortage of excitement.
While the offseason has arrived, it won’t be long before the action returns with WTGL – a new women’s team golf league that will play TGL-style matches at SoFi Center beginning this winter.
In the meantime, here’s a look back on all the biggest highlights, as well as how every team fared in 2026.
LOS ANGELES GOLF CLUB
LAGC fought back from a 1-2 start and saved their best golf for the end of the season, with the trio of Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood and Collin Morikawa finding a groove as the first lineup ever to include three of the top five players in the world.
When Morikawa went down due to injury ahead of the postseason, Sahith Theegala stepped up as LAGC won all three playoff matches to take the SoFi Cup, knocking off defending-champion Atlanta Drive GC in the Semifinals followed by a clean sweep of Jupiter in the best-of-three Finals.
There were plenty of highlights along the way – including the first albatross in TGL history, courtesy of Justin Rose – but perhaps none was more important to the title run than Tommy Fleetwood’s birdie at No. 14 in Match 1 of the Finals.
Trailing 5-4 with two holes to play, Jupiter threw the Hammer after Tom Kim hit his tee shot to 6 feet at the par 3 Cliffhanger. LAGC accepted and Fleetwood rose to the occasion, stuffing it inside four feet to match Kim’s birdie and keep LAGC alive down one point with one to play. Theegala would go on to win the next hole after a Hammer throw, flipping the match on Hole 15 to hand LAGC a dramatic 6-5 victory.
JUPITER LINKS GOLF CLUB
It’s safe to say no team had more fun than Jupiter in Season 1, despite a fifth-place finish for Tiger Woods, Tom Kim, Max Homa and Kevin Kisner.
Midway through the 2026 season, they proved they were serious championship contender. With alternate Akshay Bhatia playing lights-out, Jupiter overcame an 0-2 start to reach the playoffs and beat No. 1-seeded Boston Common Golf to earn a spot in the Finals.
None of it would have been possible without Kim’s ace at No. 14 in the final match of the regular season, giving Jupiter the lead amid a 6-0 run over the last three holes to stun The Bay Golf Club and get into the playoffs as the No. 4 seed with an epic 9-6 victory.
BOSTON COMMON GOLF
The Ballfrogs went from winless in 2025 to the No. 1 seed in 2026, finishing 4-1 and leading the league in Triples holes won, Triples points won, average driver distance, fairways hit and greens in regulation.
Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, Adam Scott and Hideki Matsuyama (plus alternate Michael Thorbjornsen) were energized from the get-go and brought it strong to take the No. 1 overall seed ahead of a Semifinals upset loss to Jupiter.
Boston’s best stretch of golf came in a 9-2 win over New York, with the Ballfrogs winning five consecutive holes as part of an 8-0 run sparked largely by Scott – the Aussie set up birdies with excellent approaches at No. 6 and No. 7, drilled an 11-footer for birdie at the eighth and clinched the victory with a birdie worth two points in Singles to cap an unbelievable individual performance.
ATLANTA DRIVE GC
The year began with a banner-raising ceremony at SoFi Center to honor their Season 1 title, followed by more of the same – a 37-foot walk-off eagle putt from Billy Horschel in the season opener beat New York and recaptured some of that championship magic for Atlanta.
The defending champs got off to a great start with wins over New York Golf Club and The Bay Golf Club, looking poised to make a serious run at back-to-back titles with alternate Chris Gotterup impressing for Atlanta.
Early contributions from Gotterup were clutch with Justin Thomas still recovering from injury, but Atlanta dropped two of its final three matches to fall to the No. 3 seed. It led 4-1 through seven holes but couldn’t keep it going in Singles during a 6-4 Semifinals loss to Los Angeles that ended its season.
THE BAY GOLF CLUB
The Bay had a tough time finding a rhythm early in the year, getting outscored 16-5 in losses to Atlanta and Boston to start the season.
It eventually found success and played its best match of the season with an 11-5 win over Los Angeles – including the first ever ace in TGL history via alternate Neal Shipley, who propelled The Bay to victory with his hole-in-one at the 110-yard par 3 Set in Stone.
NEW YORK GOLF CLUB
New York was without Xander Schauffele for much of the season and wasn’t able to climb back into contention as it did in Season 1, when New York rebounded from an 0-2 start to reach the Finals.
NYGC couldn’t get the clutch putts to fall for most of the year, but it got a big one when Rickie Fowler sunk a 14-footer for a birdie worth two points at No. 13 to secure its lone victory of the year over Jupiter.
2026 Season In The Books
As the curtain falls on TGL presented by SoFi 2026 season, it’s clear the energy, innovation, and competition have reached new heights. From clutch moments to unforgettable matchups, this season delivered excitement at every turn and set the stage for even bigger things ahead. The players raised the bar, the fans brought the passion, and the future has never looked brighter. Now, with momentum on our side, we turn our eyes forward—because if this season was any indication, the 2027 season is going to be something truly special.
