Craic On
Craic On
Par 3 | 175 Yards
This links-style par 3 plays approximately 175 yards and takes its inspiration from the hillocks and hollows of traditional linksland, with an exposed terrain and backdrop of rolling hills.
As one of the shorter par 3s in TGL there will be the temptation to take it on, but wind will be its defense.
Hole Strategy
Hole Designer: Beau Welling Design
Beau Welling talks us through his thought process on the design of Craic On and discusses how our teams may approach it:
Beau says: "‘Craic’ is an Irish word for having fun and this should be a super fun hole. It is inspired by the type of hole you’d see in Ireland, the visibility of the green is obscured by dunes and grasses and the hole itself is a left-to-right angled green and it will be about 170 yards to clear the front bunker.
"The green has interesting contours and players will be able to use a shelf in the middle to divert the ball right or left depending on the hole location.
"So we are asking the players and teams to hit a really precise shot, which will be challenging considering the wind conditions. They are really going to have to execute and think there way around Craic On."
