For Season 2, The Bay Golf Club introduces The Bay Breaker — a first-of-its-kind tribute to the place we call home.

Created as part of TGL’s custom hole initiative, this design brings the spirit, identity, and landscapes of the Bay Area into the heart of the competition.

Behind the Build

Golf in the Bay Area is defined by coastline drama, towering trees, iconic views, and the ever-present marine layer. Usually, you’d need to make a few stops — Pebble Beach, TPC Harding Park, Lincoln Park — to experience it all.

Not anymore.

The Bay Breaker fuses the region’s most recognizable landscapes into one unforgettable challenge.

Anchored by the Golden Gate Bridge, the hole grounds players instantly in San Francisco. Two signature Northern California tree lines — redwoods and Monterey cypress — frame the fairway, with a subtle Easter-egg nod to Pebble Beach’s famed lone cypress.

Look closer and Bay Breaker reveals even more:

  • Alcatraz sitting off the left side of the tee
  • The San Francisco skyline rising behind it
  • Water ferry cutting across the bay
  • And the creeping coastal fog rolling in — a playful homage to Karl, and a rallying cry for our fanbase: Fear the Fog.

The entire experience reflects our identity: unmistakably Northern California, unmistakably The Bay Golf Club.

The Bay Breaker ties together iconic Bay Area terrain, landmarks, and coastline views into one unified hole experience.

How the Hole Plays

Par 6 | 606 Yards

A hole built for precision — and built for the bold.

The concept imagines a world where the strategy of Harding Park, the beauty of Pebble Beach, and the charm of Lincoln Park intersect. While fictional, the gameplay is designed to feel authentically Bay Area: dramatic, exacting, and unpredictable.

Fog influences sight lines. The coastline demands commitment.
Every decision matters.

The Bay Breaker is designed to reward those who challenge the angles and penalize those who fear them — a perfect fit for the competitive style of TBGC.

A Tribute to Our Home

All in all, The Bay Breaker is a tribute — to our city, our fans, our landscape, and our identity.

Equal parts beautiful, strategic, and iconic.
