TGL Tuesdays are back.

Tech-infused team golf action returns this week with a Presidents Day tripleheader on Monday, followed by another showdown at 7 p.m. Tuesday with Jupiter Links Golf Club taking on New York Golf Club at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

Jupiter is 1-1 overall with a chance to break out of a three-way tie for second place in the SoFi Cup Standings. New York is hoping to show out with its first win as we approach the midway point of the inaugural season of TGL presented by SoFi.

Tuesday’s match will air live on ESPN throughout the United States and is also available to stream on ESPN+.

New Hammer Rules

There's been some changes. In TGL, every hole is worth one point unless the Hammer is played. That much remains the same.

And it's also the case that the team with the most points at the end of the match wins.

TGL 101: Everything you need to know about season 1

But starting Monday, each team will begin the match with three Hammers. Playing the Hammer raises the stakes of a hole by one point when played and accepted. Teams can only throw the Hammer once on a given hole but are otherwise free to use them at any point in the match to up the ante.

The maximum number of points on offer per hole is now 3 (should each team throw a Hammer that is accepted by their opponent). The new rules mean each team will always get the opportunity to throw the Hammer during a match.

Lineups

Jupiter Links Golf Club: Tiger Woods, Kevin Kisner, Tom Kim

New York Golf Club: Cameron Young, Rickie Fowler, Matt Fitzpatrick

Playing Order Reveal

Here’s the order in which players will tee off for their teams:

3 Things to Know

Fairway Finders: Don’t expect either team to give too many holes away off the tee. New York has been the most accurate team in TGL, hitting fairways at an 80% clip through two matches. Jupiter is second at 75%, so strategy on approach and on all five par 5s will be key.

Dream Team: Jupiter is rolling out the same lineup it sent for the Overtime win over Boston, with Woods in charge as the de-facto shot caller. Kim is back for a second time and set a high bar in his debut with clutch iron shots, several huge putts and plenty of back-and-forth with the fans in attendance.

Big City Brawn: New York leads the league in average driving distance at 321.7 yards a pop, while Young has launched three of the five longest drives so far this season. The green has been the challenge, with the team 0 for 13 on putts outside 10 feet. New York will become a dangerous team if just one or two of those drop early in the match.

Singles Matchups

Tiger Woods vs. Cameron Young: Woods and Young get us started for Singles at Sterling, a 554-yard par 5 featuring a wild split fairway design. Young has the distance advantage, but Woods could still certainly have the green light to go for the green in two. The par-4 Temple is all about the tee shot as well and this is a great one-two punch of holes for the matchup.

Kevin Kisner vs. Rickie Fowler: This is the third match for both Kisner and Fowler, so they should have it dialed in for the Singles tilt. Fowler has been one of the more accurate players off the tee and that bodes well at No. 11, The Plank, playing as a drivable par 4. Kisner has already played the par-3 14th, Cliffhanger, and hit his tee shot inside 18 feet the last time around.

Tom Kim vs. Matt Fitzpatrick: Kim looked extremely comfortable with the flat stick in his debut and will be happy to see a par-3 up first at No. 12, Set in Stone. But Fitzpatrick has been longer off the tee and would love to pick up his first Singles point at the par-5 15th, Boomerang.

The Course

HOLE DESIGNS: Check out the full library of TGL holes

This is the same course layout we’ll see in the second match Monday, so both teams should be paying attention to Atlanta vs. The Bay Golf Club to pick up some extra intel on a few of the newer holes.

That includes Sterling, a links-style par-5 that will be played for the first time. Several more-familiar holes will also be played from different yardages, and the par 5s should all be gettable with No. 9, Pin Oak, playing as the longest hole of the night at 579 yards.

HOLE SPOTLIGHT

No. 6, Straight Up, 297 Yards

This Nicklaus design returns to the rotation after leaving a lot of players scratching their heads in three prior appearances. Water lines the entire left side of the fairway while sand guards the right at this Florida-inspired par-4, where par has been the winning score every match.

While the hole previously played 464 yards, it’s only 297 yards from the front tee which will be used Tuesday night. That adds a big-time risk-reward element with players tempted to go for a half-island green with no room to miss left or short.
