There’s no place like SoFi Center on Tuesday nights.

Now more than halfway through the inaugural season, players are getting dialed in and teams are making their moves as we cap another week with The Bay Golf Club taking on Jupiter Links Golf Club at 9 p.m. ET in TGL presented by SoFi.

The Bay established itself as the team to beat with back-to-back wins in the Presidents Day tripleheader, but nothing is set in ink and there’s plenty left to prove with Jupiter lurking in fifth place and just on the wrong side of the SoFi Cup Standings for now.

Playing Order Reveal

Here’s the order in which players will tee off for their teams:

SINGLES

3 Things to Know

Dangerous Lee: Opponents won’t want to see Lee with a wedge in his hand and a chance to win the hole. The 26-year-old Australian had a stellar debut in The Bay’s 6-5 win over previously-unbeaten Atlanta Drive GC. He had a chip-in that looked good all the way and reached a new TGL-record ball speed of 190.2 mph off the tee. It’s now clear that depth is The Bay’s biggest strength, with all four players showing off throughout the 3-0 start.

Jupiter Shuffle: JLGC is ready to march out a first-time lineup, with Kim, Kisner and Homa ready to go as Tiger Woods sits out. Tom “Sim” has brought the fire along with a wicked game. Homa hasn’t teed it up since Week 2, so he’ll be itching to go in what might be the biggest match of the season for Jupiter. A win has them feeling great about their playoff chances, but the postseason scenarios get a little sketchy with a loss.

Putt for Dough: The Bay has been the top statistical team in most categories through three matches, leading the league in average driving distance (318 yards), driving accuracy (76.7%) and greens in regulation (77.8%). But the real secret sauce has been their performance on the green, holing 11 of 12 putts from inside 10 feet. Jupiter can absolutely win this match and get its season back on track, but JLGC can’t afford to give too many shots away.

Singles Matchups

Min Woo Lee vs. Tom Kim: Two of the league’s brightest young stars go toe-to-toe at The Spear to get Singles started. Lee has a big distance advantage at the par-5 opener, but Kim is a fairway and greens guy who won’t lose many holes with a mistake. He’s also unbeaten in singles at 1-0-3 on the year.

Shane Lowry vs. Kevin Kisner: Lowry and Kisner begin at the par-4 Loot on the Line and then play No. 14, Set in Stone, a mid-length par 3. That’s an ideal pair of holes for two savvy veterans as strategy and precision are more important than distance.

Wyndham Clark vs. Max Homa: The 2023 Ryder Cup teammates face off in the final Singles matchup, beginning at the 135-yard On the Rocks and concluding at Sterling, a par 5 that made its debut last week and gives players a unique look off the tee.

Clark couldn’t have asked for a better layout in this one. He holds the longest drive at three of the holes, including two he’ll play in Triples or Singles at Bonnie Link (331 yards) and Sterling (321 yards). He’s also been closest to the pin at two of the par 3s, Craic On and Set in Stone – he doesn’t have honors on either but should have his teammates properly clubbed.

Tuesday’s layout won’t sneak up on these guys as all 15 holes have been played in at least three prior matches.

HOLE SPOTLIGHT

No. 3, Oh Chute, 155 Yards

This par-3 comes up quick, with Clark and Homa giving it a go off the tee. It might be the most critical of the entire match. We’ve heard players talk time and time again about the importance of building an early lead. Holes No. 1 & 2, Flex and Bonnie Link, have served as quality control checks with just one point earned and eight ties.

Oh Chute is where teams make a move, with points scored on four of seven appearances. Players are only hitting the green at a 35.7% clip and winning this hole out of the gate would provide a major boost for either team early in Triples.
