From 29 hole designs, down to 1 Last Design Standing Champion. See how fans voted below...
After a week of fan voting, Quick Draw has officially claimed the title of the fans’ favorite hole design from Season 1, emerging victorious in TGL’s inaugural Last Design Standing vote.
After weeks of voting and thousands of votes across social media and tglgolf.com, Quick Draw edged out Alpine in a close-run Final to be named the ultimate fan favorite from Season 1.
How Last Design Standing Worked
Fans were invited to participate in the Last Design Standing vote across TGL social channels (Instagram and X) and the TGL website and TGL App, voting for their preferred holes in a tournament that started with all 29 holes from Season 1.
Here's how the tournament was structured:
- Group Stage: The 29 holes were split into eight groups of three or four. Fans voted on social media, and the top vote-getter from each group advanced to the Quarterfinals.
- Quarterfinals & Beyond: Voting moved to the TGL website and app, where holes faced off in head-to-head matchups in a bracket-style tournament. Winners advanced through the Semifinals and into the Final.
The Road to the Final
The eight holes with the most votes per group punched their ticket to the Quarterfinals.
Quarterfinals
From the four matchups, Alpine, Quick Draw, Pick Yer Plunder and Riptide advanced. Quick Draw was the top vote-getter in this round, earning 81% of the vote in its matchup against Bluebonnet in an early marker of its popularity.
The dramatic canyon hole with an island plateau proved difficult to beat in every round.
- QF #1: Alpine (63%) def. Boomerang (37%)
- QF #2: Quick Draw (81%) def. Bluebonnet (19%)
- QF #3: Pick Yer Plunder (55%) def. Navigator (45%)
- QF #4: Riptide (55%) def. Sidewinder (45%)
Semifinals
Quick Draw once again demonstrated its credentials, seeing off Pick Yer Plunder despite its idyllic setting in Bounty Bay. In the other Semifinal, Alpine earned more votes than Riptide to secure its place in the Final.
- SF #1: Alpine (64%) def. Riptide (36%)
- SF #2: Quick Draw (65%) def. Pick Yer Plunder (35%)
Final
The championship matchup was a true fan-favorite battle: Quick Draw vs. Alpine.
The speed slot on Alpine made it popular among the longest hitters in Season 1 and its picturesque mountain backdrop likely helped its progress through to the Final of Last Design Standing.
But in a razor-thin finish, Quick Draw secured the crown with 50.4% of the vote, just edging out Alpine’s 49.6%.
