Here’s what you may have missed
Maggie Hathaway Grand Opening
The LAGC Community Open marked the reopening of Maggie Hathaway Golf Course, a place rooted in access, opportunity, and community since 1962.
We’re proud to support The Maggie Junior Golf & Community Foundation through a 10% giveback initiative and the donation of 30 sets of Liteyear junior clubs, creating more opportunities for the next generation to step into the game.
Golf is becoming more affordable and more accessible than ever in the LA area, and the Maggie Hathaway Golf Course is playing a huge role.
LAGC at JM Eagle LPGA
We spent a week at the JM Eagle LPGA Championship, and maybe no day better than Junior Golf Day. We brought the DryveBox and learned from the pros.
We’re constantly looking for ways to invite the younger generation into the game of golf!
LAGC at the Masters Tournament
Fleetwood, Rose, and Morikawa teed it up in Augusta and brought the excitement with them.
Rose was in it all weekend and Morikawa roared into the top 10 on Sunday. After another close one, Rose vows to come back and give it his everything next year, and likely in years to come.
LAGC at Galaxy Soccer Fest
We stay plugged into the LA community, so we had to show up for our neighbors at LA Galaxy. Soccer Fest was a huge hit, and LA got the win over Salt Lake 2-1.
Streets to the Greens
Celebrating our Day 1s in the Community
Streets to the Greens is a series where we highlight those in the LA community making the most out of what golf has given them. Here’s who we got to highlight in April:
Jung Woo
Jung Woo is an LA creative through and through. Since the time he found golf, he’s made magic of it. Style, art, creative partnerships… he’s done it all in this space. He’s a natural fit within the LAGC community.
Hyunee Kim
We got to honor Hyunee during Women’s History Month, as she’s brought the sport to a new generation of women. She’s showing the world that you can be whatever type of creator you want to be, and golf provides a unique outlet for it.
Who should we celebrate next?
