One of the PGA TOUR’s most exciting and unpredictable tests lies ahead in the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links.
The drive from Augusta to Hilton Head only takes about two and a half hours. Many in last week’s field make the drive, as the 4th Signature Event of the season invites only the world’s best.
Included in this week’s field are our very own Collin Morikawa, Tommy Fleetwood, and Sahith Theegala. Each one has had their own Top-10 finish at the RBC Heritage, each seeking their first win here.
Harbour Town Golf Links
Harbour Town Golf Links presents a unique challenge. Particularly, the smallest greens on TOUR by a long shot — these greens average 3,700 square feet compared to the TOUR average of around 5,700 square feet. For context, TGL's GreenZone was enlarged from 3,800 square feet in the 2025 season to 5,270 in the 2026 season.

By 1969, Arnold Palmer had already had an illustrious career, but leading up to the inaugural Heritage, Palmer was on a 14-month win drought. At 40 years old, Arnold Palmer won the first tournament ever played here, which gave golf fans all they could ask for and gave The Heritage Classic (now RBC Heritage) a thrilling origin story.
The lighthouse beyond the 18th green became an iconic course landmark almost immediately. The red plaid jacket handed to the winner is a nod to Scottish tradition, and the specific plaid pattern itself was unique to this jacket, coining its design heritage plaid.
Harbour Town plays as a 7,243-yard par 71. Jack Nicklaus consulted on the build in partnership with famous course architect Pete Dye. The fairways are narrow, the greens small, and there isn't a single par 4 over 480 yards — but all four par 3s stretch past 190.It favors neither the long hitter, nor the short, but rather, the accurate.
This should play in favor of each LAGC golfer.
Player Storylines
Collin Morikawa was the field leader in strokes gained on approach at the Masters Tournament last week, and he charged to a T7 on Sunday. It was his first event since his back injury, and he can ride the momentum all the way to Hilton Head.
Tommy Fleetwood finished 7th in last year’s RBC Heritage. He’ll look to bounce back after last week with a high finish, and his overall body of work suggests he’s due for a win any weekend now.
Sahith Theegala has one of the more compelling records at this tournament of anyone in the field. He has a solo second and a T5 in four career trips to Harbour Town, and his feel-based approach play and elite short game are the reasons.
What to Watch
In three of the last four years, we’ve seen the winner have to battle it out in a playoff. Will it be tight again? Who might play their way into the mix come Sunday afternoon?
Tune in to the RBC Heritage on ESPN, Golf Channel, and CBS for the main broadcast.
