Matt Fitzpatrick became England’s first major champion since 2016 when he won the 2022 U.S. Open at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts, joining Jack Nicklaus as the only players to have won a U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur at the same venue.

Since turning professional in 2014, Fitzpatrick has recorded five PGA TOUR titles and nine international victories, and represented England on four European Ryder Cup teams.

His most recent PGA TOUR victory came at the Zurich Classic in April 2026.
