Introducing your 2026 TGL Champions, Los Angeles Golf Club.

LAGC has been the most complete team since the inception of TGL presented by SoFi, and they put all the pieces together to cap off the 2026 campaign with a championship.

Read on to see what else is happening in LA’s budding golf culture.

LA golf is booming: here are a few things happening around the league and around the city

LAGC Shows Resilience in Playoffs, Captures TGL Championship

LAGC had three Top-5 players in the world in Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose, and Collin Morikawa. When these three played together, they never lost (3-0-0 all time).

Right before the playoffs, Morikawa suffered a back injury that sidelined him for the rest of the season. Without Morikawa, the rest of the league may have felt their chances of winning increase.

Unfortunately, the rest of the league got no relief, because in stepped Sahith Theegala, a Top-20 player in the world this year, playing his best golf.

In the first round of the playoffs, LAGC overcame a 4-1 deficit against defending champs Atlanta Drive to win 6-4. Then in the first leg of the finals, Sahith Theegala was the one who won the final hole (worth two points) to secure a victory over Jupiter Links 6-5.

In the final match, Jupiter Links had a 2-0 lead through 5 holes. With strategic Hammers and pure play, LAGC rattled off 9 points in just 5 holes, including the 3-point finisher by Rose on Hole No.10. That put the match out of reach for Jupiter, and into the hands of the new Champions, LAGC.

Play Maggie Hathaway Golf Course for Just $8.25

Maggie Hathaway Golf Course reopened on March 28th after a $21 Million restoration project led by a coalition of public and private partners, including Los Angeles County.

Originally established in 1962, the nine-hole course carries deep roots in L.A.'s golf history and has long served as a community anchor. Its revival represents a deliberate investment in South L.A. — expanding access, supporting youth development, and keeping the sport available to the surrounding community at a grassroots level.

Collin Morikawa, an L.A. native and LAGC roster member, has served as honorary chairman of the effort, lending personal support to its junior golf mission.

The 835 yard Par 3 Course is in the heart of LA, equipped with a netted driving range, practice chipping and putting area, and 9 pure holes of par-3 golf.

Tee times go for only $8.25, a breath of fresh air in an expensive city. LAGC will be involved in many events to come at Maggie Hathaway. If you haven’t checked it out, it’s a must!

Continued Success

Three of our guys have worked their way into the Official World Golf Ranking Top-10. Rose and Morikawa have each found their way to the winner’s circle. Fleetwood and Theegala continue to play at the top of their game.
