Something fresh is coming to TGL presented by SoFi.
We’ve designed our very own LA-inspired golf hole that we’ll compete on during this upcoming season.
Each team has been commissioned to design a team-inspired hole to bring the spirit of their team and city into the game. LAGC invited an LA artist to bring to life the culture of LA in the form of a golf hole.
And of course, the hole has a name:
SHOWTIME.
The Setting
If you’re looking for golf in LA that captures all that the city has to offer, you may have to make a few stops to get your fix. Not anymore. LAGC’s team hole, Showtime, ties in iconic LA features and landmarks to bring the whole spirit of LA into one place.
The West Coast sunset casts a shadow over the California coastline on this hole, which features several of LA's iconic sights — the downtown skyline, the Santa Monica Pier, a Hollywood-inspired Los Angeles sign, and more.
Artwork throughout the hole features work from LA creative, Dallas Vega, which is how LAGC likes to roll — bringing our city’s spirit and vibe into the energy of the entire project.
This hole is unmistakably LA.

Par 5 | 609 yds
A hole of risk and reward.
The tee shot forces players to decide whether to take on the left side of the hole, which features a narrow subset of fairway surrounded by penalty area, or play it safer out to the right.
The island of short grass on the left side is surrounded by a cross bunker that runs the entire length of the fairway, known as a barranca. The bunker morphs into a rocky valley between fairway and green. This is bound to force some cautious play, even for professionals.
Those brave enough to go left will either be rewarded with a shorter approach shot into the green or punished for their inaccuracy by falling into the bunkers (or worse, the penalty area). Those that go right may have an easier time hitting the fairway, but similar to driving on the 405, it may take you longer to get home to the green than you’d hope.
A Hole For LA
All in all, it’s a beautiful hole that will test even the best in the game.
Equal parts beautiful, iconic, and challenging — just as an LA-inspired hole should be.
Watch LAGC compete in their Season 2 Opener at 4:00pm PT, Friday January 2 on ESPN.
